We’re all lazy! We don’t have the time and want everything to be as easy as possible. Don’t make it tough for us already! We don’t like to go an extra mile (Unless it’s really worth it or you paid us). If it’s possible, we don’t want to lift a finger at all! It may or may not be true, but these are just some things that I have noticed online while browsing and reading blogs. I noticed that until today, some businesses still make it so tough for customers to reach them, whether it’s on social media or just to get in touch with them. … [Read more...] about Make It Easy for Customers to do Business With You
KLM is making other airlines look bad!! In the mean time they are making their airline look COOL. Without failing, the Royal Dutch Airlines continues to surprise me. After watching how they used Twitter alone to get 1,000,000 impressions by giving personalized gifts to people at their airport, they did it once again. This time, they have listened to their customers, responded with a challenge and made their customer’s dream come true, as well as making two new records. How did it all start? Simple…. … [Read more...] about KLM continues to surprise users on Twitter
There isn’t any official number of how many users there are on Twitter, but I “think” I have managed to find the answer. Still, I could be wrong, but then again I could be right. However I feel that it’s fairly accurate (i'm confusing I know). Nicholas Carlson wrote an interesting post on how many users are active on Twitter, where he explained the amount of people who are active on Twitter, people who aren’t following anyone etc, but I wanted to know how many Twitter users are registered today. Twitter is not like Facebook, where we are able to get data from socialbakers to find out the amount of Facebook users or the amount of Facebook ads. … [Read more...] about How Many Users Does Twitter Have TODAY
I was in Singapore for 4 days for a short trip to a company that I’ll be interning for. I gave a short presentation on Twitter to the team, and one of the discussions that came up was whether a business should be Twitter or not, since not all businesses are able to maintain a presence after a while, and their account goes inactive after a few days or months of using it. Scenario 1: An inactive account on Twitter that doesn’t respond to the people’s inquiries or problems Scenario 2: No presence on Twitter at all? Since consumers or users can’t lodge a complaint online if they don’t get responded to since the brand is not online. My opinion? No matter if your brand is on Twitter or not, people will always talk about … [Read more...] about Should your business be on twitter or not?
The following post is a guest post by Leon Widrich, an active commenter and contributor on AskAaroLee.com. Leon is also the founder of BufferApp. Enjoy the post. Cruising through the twituniverse has quickly become my favourite activity online. One discussion regarding Twitter I have led many times and found well worth sharing with you, centers around the question: Should you switch the auto-pilot on, on Twitter? Or should I rather pimp my ride a little, but remain in the driver’s seat? Whichever your answer to the above, here is my lesson learnt: … [Read more...] about Automation on Twitter: Should you do it?
“The tribe has spoken; please leave the tribal council immediately”. To most of you who have watched Survivor, the reality show, would find this familiar. What is the first thing that comes through your mind when you talk about a tribe? Most of the time, it reminds us of people or groups of people living in the Amazon. True, but when you look at the bare essentials, a tribe is often related as a community. … [Read more...] about How To: Expand Your Twitter Tribe
