How to Create an Engaging Audience on Social Media from scratch

March 5, 2016 by Aaron Leave a Comment

How do you engage with your social media audience? Oh... I'm baaaaackkkk! The last time I published a blog post here was on the 1st of January. It was a blog post on my bucket list, which I'm supposed to update! HAH! Since I am no longer working for Post Planner, this means I can write and share my thoughts here more often. Let's get back to the post, I got an email a reader asking me how to create an engaging audience on social media from scratch. They are new to social media, and everything feels intimidating. What is scaling the unscalable? Scaling the unscalable means you're doing things that … [Read more...] about How to Create an Engaging Audience on Social Media from scratch

Things to do when you are having writer’s block in blogging

December 6, 2013 by Aaron 11 Comments

This is an amazing contribution by Jerry Low from WSHR, read more about him at the end of the post. Writer’s block sounds like some horrible disease, intestinal malfunction or prison cells filled with literary types...... yuck... And, for those who make a living by stringing together words to create something fresh and new, it is a horrible affliction for which there seems to be no cure but time. However, if you are experiencing writer’s block, there are things you can do when blogging goes ugly and the writing flow stops. In addition, there are some things you can do other than writing that may help knock loose the blockage and get your typing fingers racing across the keys again. Social Media Only Comes in One Speed

July 12, 2013 by Aaron 10 Comments

social media speed

Social media is getting faster by the minute. Today, it is getting so competitive that brands and businesses are continuously thinking outside the box on how they can produce content that matches the pace of their audience. These days, social media waits for no one. If you’re LATE for the party, you’ll probably be covered by all the noise and you might not be able to get your voice across. It could only mean that if you want to be heard by the crowd, you have to be fast; and on social media, that means you have to be REALLY fast. Speed wins if you want to be the one people talk about on social media. … [Read more...] about Social Media Only Comes in One Speed

Twitter screwed up with Vine

July 1, 2013 by Aaron 15 Comments

Usually when a hot, new social network, app, software or even e-books turn up in town I’ll be one of those geeky guys who would immediately download it, try to get an invite or use them right away. However, when Twitter introduced Vine back in January what I did was download it,  registered myself and simply sat back to see how others were using it. After awhile I stopped logging into it. Recently, I decided to log back in to see what changed. I even did my first uncreative Vine video after a little bit of a push from my friend Ahna Hendrix. Guess what? a couple of days later, Instagram decided to add their own version of Vine onto their already so popular app. … [Read more...] about Twitter screwed up with Vine

Twitter can become a little overwhelming for those who have just got started. It is like having 100 radio stations switched on at the same time and catching bits of pieces of conversations here and there. One of the questions I get asked frequently is how do I manage or keep up with my Twitter stream? Some of these questions even come with questions such as if I am using a bot or have satffs managing my twitter account like Guy Kawasaki. All of them are false of course, and the answer really is much simpler than you thought. As you may already guess, it’s just by using Twitter lists. … [Read more...] about How to: Build a Twitter Following with Twitter Lists
