Hovercards: Twitter Best Feature Yet

February 4, 2010 by Aaron 3 Comments

Finally! The best twitter feature launched by twitter. Twitter just launched their new feature called Hovercards. Here is how the new feature works

Hovercards are cards which appear when you hover over a username or avatar. The cards display additional information about the person and allow you to interact with them while staying within the context of your page.”

In short, you can now scroll over a person or a twitterers username and the card pops over it.

I am going to love this new feature. Here are the benefits

1. Checking bio

This will be a good thing, checking twitterers will be a piece of cake now. Go over the username name and we’re done.

2. Follow people

I can now follow people easier and I don’t have to open the page one by one.

3. Listing people

Listing people according to list will be easier now. I don’t have to open a new tab to list my followers.

4. Sending DM

Yes you can also send DM without going over to their profile. Isn’t that awesome?

Don’t worry if you’re not gotten the feature yet. Like all features they roll out in stages. Not everyone will have them right away.

More updates on this in the future.
