Hello friends, look at your gadgets, now look at mine, now look at your gadgets, now back at mine.
Sadly, your gadgets aren’t mine.
If you use gadgets like mine, you could be like me.
But you don’t need to be like me. Be YOU. You’re perfect the way you are.
Wait, don’t click ‘X’! Continue to read this post and I’ll tell you the 3 perfect gadgets I think every small business owners should have.

1. Smart phone
These days, a smart phone is a ‘MUST HAVE’ for all small business owners. Whether you’re a retailer, a fashionista, an online entrepreneur, a social media expert, or any small business owner, smart phones are how you keep yourself connected at the very least.
That being said, sometimes even that little gadget is enough to let you run your business.
My trusty iPhone is literally beside me 24/7. I never leave home without it and I can’t imagine a day without it.
All my emails, contacts, notes (using evernote), and social media apps are only a few seconds away. This allows me to connect with my clients, friends, and the rest of the world.
I even used my iPhone as a scanner when I need to send documents or notes.
I’ll be lost without it. Whether you pick an iPhone, a Blackberry, or a Samsung, make sure you pick a smart phone. It’s a MUST.
2. Portable Computer
If you asked me last year to pick a portable computer of my choice, I might have said an iPad as I found it to be really portable. I actually bought one after seeing how everyone was using it at conferences.
Although I mentioned that you could carry out your business from your smart phone, you probably could use a bigger screen and probably a keyboard too for some serious business. Which is why I chose to use a portable computer rather than an iPad.
Since I travel often, my pick would be my Toshiba Portege Z830 Ultrabook. The 13.3” Ultrabook also comes with a 1.3 megapixel webcam just in case you need to have a conference meeting.
People are picky when it comes to their computers; many of us don’t want to worry about carrying their heavy laptops around (watch the video above).
This is why my pick is the Toshiba Portege Z830 Ultrabook which weighs roughly 1.12kg. That’s lighter than a bowl of rice!
It is the best at offering the portability of a hand-held device because it is VERY light. Combine that with the awesome Intel Core i7 processor and you really get the best of power and portability.
The Ultrabook is also business ready as it comes with it’s generous serving of THREE USB ports, VGA ports, HDMI port, ethernet port, SD card slots, Headphone and microphone jack and 8 hours of battery usage which allows business owners like me to maximize its versatility.
A computer is a necessity for every small business owners. So why don’t we get one that is convenient for us.
3. Kindle
What if you could have hundreds of books right in your hands without worrying how much it weights. The kindle is my pick for a perfect companion when I want to relax and learn something new.
I know, I know, you love holding an actual book and the smell of the page when you flip. Trust me, I do too. Give the kindle a chance and I am sure you’ll LOVE it.
No, the Kindle is definitely not a replacement for real books. I still read REAL books, but if I was given the chance to bring a real book vs a kindle (with hundreds of books inside it), I might pick my kindle as it’s lighter and I could read it with one hand.
I understand that some of you might think that because the Kindle is less functional than other tablets, it might not be worth getting one.
Well, those are my favorite gadgets that fit the lifestyle of a small business owner. What are yours?
