There are many reasons why you might be about to launch a new website. Perhaps you have just set up your very own company. Or maybe this is the first time you are taking your bricks-and-mortar business onto the Internet.

Perhaps you have just set up your very own company. Or maybe this is the first time you are taking your bricks-and-mortar business onto the Internet. Or maybe you’re just tired of working with someone else. We’ve all been there.

Whatever your reasons, it is important that you are completely sure the site is ready to go before you launch it. How do I know? I’ve launched multiple websites my own from e-commerce to brand new blogs.

If you launch it too early, you could end up losing a lot of sales. Not sure if you are ready? Don’t be afraid. These dos and don’ts can help you decide.

Do Create  A Buzz

If no one knows that you have launched a new website, there won’t be anyone visiting it to check it out. So to make sure your launch isn’t a damp squib, you need to make sure there is a big buzz about the opening of your site.

Try to get all your followers excited on social media. Make sure you let people know well in advance that you will be creating a new website. Running competitions and trying to create viral content is also a great way to increase awareness about your upcoming site. When I started my own website, we decided to give away a few products. We created so much exposure for our brand, not to mention increase in mailing list.

Do Link From All Your Social Media

Add links to your website onto your all social media platforms. Social media is IMPORTANT. Join

  • Facebook
  • Twitter
  • Instagram
  • Pinterest

Even if you haven’t launched it yet. In fact, it’s a good idea to have a cover page on your site until you officially open it.

Include a link that allows visitors to sign up to your newsletter. This can help you greatly increase your newsletter subscribers! And it also starts to drive traffic to your site, helping it move up in the Google ranks before you’ve even launched it.

Don’t Go Live With Online Shop Problems

If you have an online shop, you should ensure that there are no problems with your payment processes before it is available to the public. If the public start to have problems with your online shop, you could end up getting some bad reviews. The easiest way to iron out any online shop problems is by using an efficient payment system, such as AccuPOS. Try to find an online AccuPOS review to help you decide if it is the right program for your company.

Do Be SEO Ready

This point is the most important in this blog post. In this day and age, every single website has to be on top of its SEO. This is important as it helps the site rise up through Google searches. Those with the best SEO in place will appear at the top of Google’s rankings. There are a few different ways you can improve your site’s SEO. The best is to start a company blog and fill it with plenty of keywords and links. Linking to your own content as well as external websites will help to increase your site’s SEO.

Summing up:

Getting ready to launch your website shouldn’t take up too much time or effort. It’s a small job that will help your company go far and to increase your profits! Just follow these simple steps and you’re good to go.
