Bringing Some ‘Extra’ To Your Corporate Event

January 9, 2020 by Aaron

Corporate events can be very important for your business. Not only are they a chance to meet with clients and stakeholders, but they’re an excellent way to build up your reputation and put your company on the map.

But the issue with many corporate events is that they can end up being very samey, making it difficult to distinguish your event from anyone else’s. To truly make an impact with your event, you need to make it memorable and engaging for your guests.

With that in mind, it wouldn’t hurt to bring something ‘extra’ to your event. So where do you begin? Take a look at the following ideas to help your event go off with a bang.

Put on some entertainment

If there’s one thing worth spending money on for your event, it’s hiring some entertainment. Whether you decide to get a comedian, a DJ, or hire some theatrical cocktail makers, you can be sure that a splash of entertainment will take your event to the next level. Big corporations put on a spectacle, often with impressive guest speakers or performers – with guests being left in awe as a result. If your budget can’t quite stretch to Beyonce, don’t worry – you can find plenty of great local talent and speakers who could bring some enjoyable entertainment to liven up your corporate event.

Consider a swag bag or a gift

Want to add some prestige to your event? Then give your guests some swag. Who doesn’t love a goody bag to take home with them? You could get in touch with local businesses and suppliers to sponsor your event with some goods – it’s simple exposure for them and a great gift for your guests. A more personal touch like custom lapel pins can be a great momento or token gift from your event. Think about things you can include that your guests will love to help them leave with a smile on their face.

Pay a little extra for food and drink

Food and drink is an important part of any event – people love to be fed! While usually, you’ll be monitoring your budget closely, sometimes it pays to spend a little extra to get extra. Splash out on different food and drink to treat your guests and ensure everyone has a great night. If a buffet is usually the order of the day, why not switch to a sit-down dinner instead? There are other ways that you can cut costs to help you afford to spend more in other areas.

Give it a theme

Finally, if you want to make your event a bit more memorable, give it a theme! Whether you put on a casino night, a Bond-themed evening or a night at a circus, a theme can make your corporate event stand out above all others. Take a look at some other corporate event themes to give you some inspiration.

Whatever the driver behind your event, it’s important to make it memorable. If you’re a small business looking to take it to the next level, then an event that goes above and beyond could be the way to do it. Think of ideas that sit within your budget and goals for an event that finally puts your business on the map!
