I found some videos on youtube that are actually quite interesting.
Here are two long definitions.

Both of the long definitions are great in expanding on the key word of 'media.' Some businesspeople think of social media as a critical marketing tool, while others see it as another way to network. (I often find my clients use it as a way to procrastinate from their marketing.) I like to think of social media as yet another media channel with a different set of controls and great possibilities.
