Create an application

One big idea could be to create an application for your business. More people are using their smartphones or tablets on a regular basis, and while your website may be mobile friendly, an application could make a process for dealing with your business a whole lot easier. Designing the application and implementing can be handled by a digital agency, then companies like Global App Testing can then ensure that the application itself is going to run smoothly. Before launching this product which is essentially what it is, you can then avoid any big issues that could be found from rigorous testing, and also add it as another element to your business. Your application can and be whatever you want it to be. An online shop, information on your business or just a place of inspiration Whatever fits with your business vision.
Open up a shop or showroom
Maybe expansion to you is more about something physical rather than digital, and one of the best ways to do that would be to open up a shop or showroom. If you have been predominantly an at home business or online focused, then this can be a great step for you in terms of attracting a whole new customer database. It also give you the chance to focus on local community and sales in this way, as more people want to embrace their local businesses and shop small in support.
Guest post on other websites to expand your brand awareness
If you are more about brand awareness, then why not consider guest posts. This is a great way to help boost your digital side of things at can have a real impact on your search engine results and where you fit in terms of google ranking. Think about blogs or other businesses (not competitors) that your business would be beneficial to their audience and readership. Talk about who you are, even if you insert a link to your company through a post talking about tips to do with the industry your business is in, it can really help boost your ratings and visibility in what can be seen as a very saturated market.
Create different content
I get it. It can be hard to think outside of the box when it comes to the content you are creating. There is always so much to think about such as ensuring you don’t share too many sales focused posts, and you also create an element of personality to your social media. People do buy from people, that notion remains the same, and adding insight to your business can really help. But if you worry that pictures and status updates or mini blogs are just not cutting it for your business, then you should try a different approach. Maybe creating video content could be the way forward? Uploading to a new YouTube channel or even posting video content on your Facebook page. Another up and coming platform to consider would be a podcast. This could be a great way to just talk and reach out to other people. Podcasts are a great way to give people information and advice, as they can be listened to in the car, on the road or even while cooking tea in their home.
Keep an eye on your competition
You don’t want to obsess over it, but it is important to keep an eye on your competition. They may do things really well in certain areas such a customer engagement or the type of content they share. While you don’t want to copy, it is always a good idea to use any source of inspiration possible, and your competitors could be a real interesting point to consider.
Engage with your audience on social media
Many business owners know that replying to comments and direct messages on social media is just part and parcel of having an engaged audience. It is one of the ways you keep your followers interested and it can also be a great way to gain new ones. However, this year, if you want to expand your social media reach why not approached the engagement sde of things a little differently? One option would be to have regular competitions, this gives your business great exposure quite quickly as everyone loves the opportunity to win something, of course, the prize could be relevant to you in terms of a product or a service, which also opens up a lot of doors.

Alternatively, why not create a hashtag for your business and encourage people to use it. Maybe you’re a clothing brand, so you could create a hashtag associated with an outfit, including your business name, and encourage followers to share and tag you in their pictures. You can then comment and like, but of course, it opens your business up to other peoples friends lists.
I hope this has given you some food for thought in terms of your expansion plans.
