Creativity is very important in any organization. It leads to innovation. For any organization to grow, it is important that it innovates. This can be achieved through employees’ creativity and other stakeholders’ inputs. It is important to hold team meetings outside the normal working environment. During meetings, important notes should be clearly demonstrated for team members to see and discuss. You may use a wall painted in  dry erase wall paint for demonstration purposes.

Here, we are going to discuss 5 tools that can help enhance creativity in team meetings. This can greatly help your organization improve on operations. Consequently, productivity will be enhanced. These are the tools:

  1. Ensure brainstorming sessions are effective

Well, if you create an environment where all team members feel comfortable, then it becomes easier to generate ideas. As such, one should be creative with the approach they take during brainstorming. It is also good to note down all suggestions and problems that the team members point out. Well, the main goal here may not necessarily be to solve the problem. It should be to get possible solutions and suggestions. As much as possible, suggestions should not be judged. Instead, team members should be encouraged to contribute as much as possible.

  1. Communication outside formal meetings

Team success is achieved when engagement of team members outside formal meetings is positive. It is good that team leaders encourage healthy relationships at work. Team members should be encouraged to socialize more outside the workplace. This can help the team to come up with new creative ideas that can improve the organization.

  1. Autonomy of the team

When you give your team autonomy they get more creative. Well, you may state goals of the organization to the team members as the team leader. But it is important to also encourage the team to decide on how to achieve the goals. At least they should give some input on how the goals can be achieved. In fact, you should spend more time explaining the goals of the organization. The team leader may also suggest how a project or a goal can be achieved. But one should leave room for the team to suggest how the goal may be achieved.

  1. Coaching of individual team members

It is good to monitor your team members and offer more support where necessary. If you realize a particular team feels demotivated, then effort should be made to motivate them. It is also good to inquire about any problems they may be facing. This way, a solution can be found.

  1. Reward team members

When you reward team members for their creativity, it motivates them. That is why rewards should be given to team members more frequently. In fact, the rewards also help to boost the confidence of the team members. It is good for team members to celebrate every small win or achievement that they make. This motivates them to be more creative.

Creativity is very important for every organization. The above 5 tools can help enhance creativity in the workplace. A creativity-conducive environment encourages team members to work harder and this makes the company move to the next level.
