You got your twitter account suspended? Don’t worry, I got mine suspended a few weeks back as well. Rather than going crazy there are a few things you can do in the meantime. You can read more about it in my blog post: Inside of a Banned Twitter Account
Twitter is getting really serious lately suspending accounts without any notices (No they don’t give notices). If this happens to you, then here are 7 steps that you should follow besides going crazy.
1. Stay Cool and Calm
Don’t go crazy that your account got suspended. It is actually normal for that to happen because you might not know all the twitter rules. Yes twitter have their set of rules too.
2. Submit a ticket
Submit a ticket to twitter. Just follow the link from your suspended account. If you can’t find it you can submit a ticket here
Here is a bit.ly link that you can use if any of your friends need to submit a ticket to twitter.
When you follow the link, this is what you will see.
Click ‘account restoration‘ (click this if you can’t find it)
Click “my account has been suspended’
When you do, fill this up.
Make sure you be nice!
DON’T: Write to twitter in an angry manner. That is why you need to practice step 1. Don’t send them a ticket saying ” WTF, why the *#&& did you suspend my account”
DO: Dear twitter, I noticed my account @username got suspended…. etc.. ”
3. Create another account if needed
You can tweet your followers that you are close with. Tell them that your account got suspended and ask them for help IF NEEDED
4. Wait for 24 hours.
Be patient, twitter will reply within 24 hours or more.
5. Reply to twitters email
If you received the email. Reply to it. It will help if you respond to their email.
IF STILL SUSPENDED
Make sure you have filed a ticket to twitter before tweeting them.
6. Tweet @Ginger
Use your other account created earlier to tweet her. Ask her if you had a TOS problem or not.
If no replies
7. Tweet @Delbius
After a couple of days, if @Ginger didn’t reply then tweet @Delbius.

Three days ago I discovered that my account is suspended. No notices on email etc. I follow only 17 people and is followed by 12. I rarely post anything, like 1-2 times in a month and most of the time those are just retweets. So I have no idea why did they suspend it. I wrote to them and replied to their email. I’m waiting for their response for 4th day now.

Yea. It really sucks. I followed about 180 in 12 hours. In no way should that count as aggressive following. They’ve been really tough lately.

If your desperate to get back to your followers, open a new account with an obvious reference to your old user name…………….your followers will soon figure out who you are.

IM tired of kissing ass… lmfao… i been a blogger sent my blog link to those who mutually follow, if they dont want it, they can opt out by blocking me and that will unfollow both of us. dm fkrs. so following is mutual in this instance. no need for twitter to be anal. I’ve been suspended for at least 2 and a half of months. This is my 2nd time. I couldn’t log into my old one, so i made a new one. I have no idea when it’s gonna end. Please someone help me get back onto my Twitter. I appreciate it. 🙂

Same thing happened to me, too, they subjectively enforce rules which they let celebrities and other slide on, especially if they don’t like your viewpoints or opinions, and they silence any real and valid criticism of the government–My account is still suspended without any reason, and I will never use this moronic forum ever again–the moment I have my Twitter account unsuspended, I will delete all information and the account with it, and bad mouth it everywhere I go. It is unfair, it is selectively enforcing rules which others get a free pass to break, and they are worthless, like Facebook, selling YOUR DATA and making a profit off of people who only want an outlet and a VOICE, which we obviously do not have in “representative government” which only represents BIG GOVERNMENT and the forces of evil!

Like everyone on this site, I’ve had I twitter accout for only a month and it got suspended for aggressive following which I may have been doing. I reinstated it and only followed people who followed me. It got suspended again 2 days later with no explanation and I can’t get anybody to respond. I just keep getting referred to the help center which just sends me around in circles and is no help. I decided to delete the app. from my IPhone. I don’t thonkI’ll ever use twitter again.
After creating a twitter account for the first time I got banned the first day I had an account for aggressively following when I was up to a grand total of 7 followers and following 8 ppl. Twitter sucks so much even if they reactivate my account I will be sticking to Facebook only
