  6. Exactly. People can’t handle that you are disagreeing with them and they also (more importantly) can’t come up with a valid argument why you are wrong and they are right.
    I am pretty good at debate so I am also pretty good at getting reported on Twitter it seems.

    Fuck twitter though, the internet is about debate, not about agreement.

  7. My account was suspended three weeks ago. I sent an email that day and got a reply immediately. Replied to that. Received a reply to that one around 4 days later. It stated they were going to unsuspend my account. Waited a week and nothing. Sent a new ticket explaining what happened about a week ago and haven’t received anything besides that automatic initial email which I replied to. Tweeted @ginger asking for help. Hope this works!!

  11. ok and what happens if NONE of them reply? We have tried all the methods above and twitter just doesn’t reply. It’s been a week since suspension. We emailed on the same day, got the usual automated reply, telling us to reply. We did so and nothing.

  12. Gosh. Both of my accounts were suspended and I followed all of the rules. WTF TWITTER! If they want to be a social networking site, how can they ban everyone new from going on to twitter?

  15. hey, I got my account suspended 2 days ago and im not really sure why but i think its because i got reported/blocked too many times. i think that happened because i made a tweet “Soccer is still better than basketball. #sorrynotsorry” and i got 111 rts and i think basketball people get pissed so they just blocked me. lol so anyways i sent a ticket and i replied to their email and every time i reply it says “update on closed request failed”. what does that mean? please help thank you

  17. my account was suspended for no reason and I really wish they still had the other version where u could just agree to two things and then prove you were human and just like that your account was unsuspended. I am so irritated with twitter. I have only been on it twice and I want to delete my account.

  36. Just been suspended for the second time in as many days.. The Twitter acct I have now is my third account with them & “I follow the rules”, while those that don’t have no problems.. Don’t get it.. I just sent them another problem ticket & an email needing an answer..

    For a ‘social media’ site Twitter is very unsocial to those that use it correctly & their response to me doesn’t fit my use of their ‘social’ site..

    Perhaps Twitter needs new management if they cannot handle their own site & needs to stop buying other things until they get their main site right..

    I do agree with the statement about the RWNJ since I do see that as an issue on Twitter they want to rule the world & take the conversation with them.. Maybe Twitter is really RW ? IDK just guessing..

    I take their suspending people ‘at will’ a violation of the very rights they claim to support.. When I complained to them about a page on their site that was completely porn including graphic pics I was told ‘Twitter believes in free speech & I need to ignore that page if I wanted to stay on Twitter’ (pp).. Their rules/regs clearly state “no porn” allowed.. Hmmm

    I don’t even have a way to tell my followers that I was suspended which is rude IMO & obviously I don’t keep a list of my followers nor do I print it out..

    What’s that mantra about “too big to fail” perhaps that doesn’t apply to Twitter..

    Sorry for the early morning rant 4:42 am EST but I am pissed..

  37. I’m with you and my debate goes on… Twitter may or may not restore my little acct with them & so be it but I will let my voice about them be known on other sites..

    When Twitter decides to treat one person differently then another for the same reasons there is a word for that & its “Discrimination”.. Shame on Twitter

  39. How can I tweet to @ginger or @delbius if my Twitter acct has been suspended ? Isn’t that info an oxymoron? I’ve already done all of the other steps & get nowhere.. This is my third Twitter acct the others I closed due to things going on at Twitter that Twitter allowed & bothered me; now this suspend thing PITA..

  41. How do you tweet your followers if your acct was suspended ? Even if I open another acct on Twitter I don’t know the names etc of the followers I had on suspended acct I certainly don’t print them out.. This is a terrible way for a large business like Twitter to do business IMO & this never happens on Facebook another ‘social’ site except Twitter not too social lately.. Never had this suspension thing happen & still don’t know why it did..

After researching Twitter Suspension more thoroughly yesterday I discovered the reason for 9 out of 10 of the Twitter Suspensions since the beginning of the year & speaking for myself only at this time I’m not happy with what I found.. They can keep their little data entry 140 ch or less “social network” (?) account & their website since that’s all it is..

  46. I created a Twitter Account @shelterdogsfami for my Shelter Dogs Family facebook community page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Shelte… on 7/22/13 at 12noon EASTERN TIME and it is now 9pm. How long does Twitter take to reactivate an account? I have no idea why they suspended the account and submitted a form saying so. I got the automated reply that says to reply if you have no idea. I did this. Does anyone know what happens next? They also said in their automated reply that they sometimes suspend accounts in error. I am now wondering if this is what happened. I read the rules and don’t think I broke any. Thank you for your help!

  48. About to be done with Twitter, I have had my Twitter for one year and I just got suspended today for trying to promote my new book. I am really upset b/c when music artists do it, its marketing, but when others do it, trying to promote and do something different we get suspended.

  49. I woke up this morning, logged onto twitter and was shocked to discover my account’s been suspended. I received no notice. I submitted a ticket and replied to their e-mail but it was only a couple of hours ago so I’ll have to wait for a response.
    I have absolutely no idea why I’ve been suspended. I can’t fathom what in the world I’ve done wrong. I’ve read the twitter rules, the various reasons why people get suspended. I don’t even understand what “aggressive following” is but I don’t follow a lot of people at all. I haven’t followed anyone new in a couple of months.
    I find this outrageous. No explanation, no notice–just BOOM! You’re suspended and then have to wait for who knows how long to understand why.
