Float like butterfly, sting like a bee!
Are you ready to rummmmbleeeeee? On one corner we have Seth Godin, on the other corner we have Guy Kawasaki.
If you don’t know who they are, you’ve probably been living in a cave or you just got out of prison.
Although this infograpghic is for fun, if you could pick one side, who would it be?
Next battle, I would love to see Seth Godin vs Malcolm Gladwell 🙂
As an Apple enthusiast since my first Apple, a IIe in 1985, I like Guy Kawasaki a lot. But as a book designer I was less than happy when Mr. Kawasaki held a contest (admittedly with a real cash prize) for the cover to one of his more recent books. To be fair, he patiently debated it with me online. Not convincingly, but he was a good sport, if wrong.
Mr. Godin, on the other hand, hired me sometime around 1993-1994 for the interior design of one of his books. It was one of my very first book projects. I wish to God I could remember which, but my record keeping left a lot to be desired in the early days. I didn’t even think to ask for copies of those early books I worked on. Anyway … for selfish reasons, Mr. Godin gets my vote–he took a chance on me when I was starting out and paid the price I asked, a fair one at the time and under the circumstances.
That’s an epic and awesome infographic!
