Aim High & Make Money: How to Turn Your Blog Into a Profitable Enterprise

October 12, 2016 by Aaron Leave a Comment

Running a blog is never easy, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t aim high. You can make money from your blog, so read on to find out how to make that happen.

Use Comments, Forums and Guest Posts

When your blog is still starting out and hasn’t been around for long, getting the word out there is key. If you can do this successfully, you will be able to reach more people and get them to visit your blog. There are some key tactics and techniques that you can use to turn your blog into a highly visited and profitable enterprise. So, use comments sections of other blogs to link back to your website in an organic way. You should also think about forum marketing if there is a forum out there that relates to the niche that you’re writing about. Finally, write some guest posts for other blogs out there.

Get the Domain Name Right

The domain name of your blog is very important. If your blog is going to be successful and profitable, you need to have a domain name that is easy to understand and remember. People will only come back if they remember your blog, its name, what it’s about and what the URL is. That’s why it needs to be kept as simple and easy to digest as possible. The sooner people remember it and get it cemented in their brains, the better it will be for you. Typing in that URL or simply searching for the name of the blog on a search engine will become like second nature. That’s how you get people coming back and boosting your website’s traffic figures.

There are plenty of web hosting providers out there that offer new domain registration. Keep in mind that not only domain name prices can vary, but the web hosting providers domain service price usually also varies.

Make it Easier to Find

Your blog needs to be as easy to find as it possibly can be. If you haven’t given any thought to things like SEO yet, then it’s time to get up to speed. Blogs and blog posts are usually found via search engines or via links on other websites. So, start by finding ways to get links from other sites. This is known as link building, and it can help your blog to get the boost it needs. You can also use reseller SEO services to get your website ranking as high on search engine results pages as possible. Then think about improving the meta descriptions for all your website’s pages. If you can do all that, your blog will be easier to find.

Ditch the Ego and Give Visitors What They Want

As a blogger, you probably take your work and your writing very seriously. That’s perfectly normal and understandable. It’s a good thing that you care about what you’re doing. But it can have its own downsides as well if you’re not careful. You have to remember that what you think about your blog is never quite as important as what the majority of your readers and visitors think. If they get the impression that your blog is heading in the wrong direction, they will stop visiting it. You have to learn to ditch your ego and listen more carefully to what your visitors want. It’s the only way to make sure your blog will become and remain profitable.
