There are tons of applications on Facebook that you might have given access to use your data. We will never know if some of these might be spamming others. In such cases, it is better for us to remove them from our Facebook profile.
Below is an example on how it all starts.

If you happen to be in such situation, now you can remove them in just a few steps.
Step 1
Log into your facebook account and then go to your privacy page or http://www.facebook.com/privacy/
Step 2
You will see a page like the one below. Click the applications and websites link
Step 3
Click the “learn more” at the what you share column.
Step 4
Now click the “this page” button at the bottom
Step 5
Now you will see this page, this is the page where you will be shown the applications that you share. Simply click on the “X” button to remove them.
Step 6
Simply click “remove” and you’re done!
For those who doesn’t want to go through all the clicking can just click http://www.facebook.com/settings/?tab=privacy#!/editapps.php to be directed to step 6 straight away.
Once you have deleted the application from your profile, all data access permissions given to the application will be revoked.
