So we’ve just hit the midpoint of the year, how are things going for you so far? Did you smash your new year’s resolutions and make the changes you promised yourself or did things kind of fall by the wayside? If they did, no need to fret or write off the year. 2017 can still be amazing, memorable and you have chance to set and achieve new goals! Here are some of the ways you can make it your best yet.
Travel
Whether it’s booking a month off to backpack around Asia or just a vacation for some sun, sea, and sand- hop on a plane and go somewhere new. There’s no doubt that saving, planning and booking early can be useful when you go away. However, sometimes the spontaneous things in life end up being the best. You might snag a fantastic late deal, and maybe even end up going somewhere you’d never considered. Grab your passport, pack a bag and jet off to sunnier climes for a really memorable ‘summer of 2017!’
Study
As children, we’re so inquisitive, but as we get older, it’s easy to lose that curiosity. When we’re bogged down with work and responsibilities, continuing our education can be the last thing on our minds. But studying and learning new skills could benefit your life immensely. It could allow you to move up the career ladder, or make a complete change of career. You could even use it to set up your own company, the sky’s the limit. You could look into MBA online courses and other business related subjects if you wanted to do this to give you the best chance of success.
Take Up a New Hobby
Hobbies allow you to socialize, meet new people and give you something fun and productive to do in your spare time. If you’re in a bit of a rut and feel like all you do is work and sleep, a hobby can help break the cycle and really change your outlook. It could be an active hobby like a sport, a crafty hobby, a techy hobby like building computers or flying drones. They get you out of the house, build your confidence and can improve your skills too.
Volunteer
What better way to spend your free time than helping those less fortunate? You get peace of mind that you’re doing your small bit to make the world a better place, genuinely help and improve the lives of others, and from a totally selfish point of view, it makes you feel great too! It could be at a soup kitchen, old folks home, children’s hospital, you could even travel abroad and volunteer elsewhere in the world.

So what are you waiting for? Get up off the couch, be productive, push yourself out of your comfort zone. Smile more and take up any opportunities that come your way! In six months time, you will look back and be glad you did.
