I was lucky enough to be one of the first 50 people who had the opportunity to read Jeff Goins, “You Are  A Writer” book a week before it was released to the public (it’s out now).

Likeable Social Media book review by @DaveKerpen

Disclaimer: Dave Kerpen is a personal friend of mine whom I’ve got connected to thanks to social media.

I finally sat down on my butt and finished Dave Kerpen’s The Likeable Book. From the front cover it says that it will teach you how to delight your customers and create an irresistible brand. I’m sure you’ll be thinking, with so many books out there, do you need to read another social media book? One thing for sure is that this book is different and I would definitely recommend you to grab this book.

No, it’s not because I know Dave or Dave paid me to say this. (but I wouldn’t mind if that were to happen, kidding)

So many books out there concentrate on what you should do on Facebook or the tools you should use, a lot of books out there will tell you what to do, but not many goes deep into HOW TO actually do it. There are also not many books that teach you the value of being real, how to be authentic, the importance of responding to good and bad comments, how to respond to comments, and how to create an authentic voice. This is what separates this book from other social media books.

I received the book last Friday; I was extremely happy and quickly dove into the book straight away and finished it today.

My  summary?

When I started reading the now revolution starting in Shift 1 (One of the seven shifts), I was actually thinking where the book is going because it’s actually talking about the people in a company and their behaviors. I read it, and I was like… alright… AND?

The Zen Of Social Media Marketing by Shama Kabani [Book Review]

Finally I got hold of “The Zen Of Social Media Marketing“  by Shama Kabani. I found ONE copy which was sold in one of the top book stores in my state. The book attracted my attention. I look at the cover and it says “the last social media guide you’ll ever need.. with continuous online updates” i smiled and flip it over and read the summary of the book. After reading it, I bought it (I still have other books I’ve not read but I still bought this LoL)

My Review

One thing i love about this book is that it is straight to the point. @Shama goes right to the point and I actually felt she was in front of me talking to me. This is what I look for in a book. I actually finished the book in two sittings.
